چکیده
Adequate knowledge and accurate characterization of root canal anatomy is an essential prerequisite for successful treatment endodontic surgery. Over the years, ever-increasing body related to human dentition has accumulated. To correct deficiencies in existing systems, a new coding system classifying morphology, accessory canals anomalies been introduced. In recent micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) cone beam computed (CBCT) have used extensively study details extracted teeth within clinical settings. This review aims discuss application studies using micro-CT CBCT, provide detailed guide appropriate several controversial issues that may appear as potential limitations proper roots canals.

Investigating Root Canal Number and Morphology of Mandibular Anterior Teeth Using Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Background and purpose: Root therapy will be successful if it is done based on a correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan with the knowledge of morphology and tooth anatomy, debridement, disinfection, and obturation of the entire root canal system. This study aimed to investigate the number and morphology of canals in root canals mandibular anterior using cone beam computed tomography (...
متن کاملEvaluation of mandibular premolars root canal morphology by cone beam computed tomography
Introduction: To achieve a successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations.mandibular premolars have the wide variety of root canal morphology and they are known as the most difficult teeth to treat in endodontics.CBCT provides a non-invasive 3D confirmatory diagnosis as a complement to conventional radiography. The aim of this study was to...
متن کاملRoot Canal Transportation in Canals Joining together: Assessed by Cone-Beam Computed Tomography
Introduction: Statement of the Problem: Cleaning and shaping are regarded as the most important aspects of root canal therapy and prerequisite for the success of endodontic treatment. Apical transportations can jeopardize the outcome of treatment due to the significant decrease in the sealing ability of root filling material. The purpose of this study was to evaluate transportation in type II c...
متن کاملValidation of cone beam computed tomography as a tool to explore root canal anatomy.
INTRODUCTION Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) can provide dentists with high-quality 3-dimensional images of dental structures because of its high spatial resolution. The reconstructions of root canal systems given by the Kodak 9000 3D were compared with histologic sections to evaluate the reliability of the reconstructions. METHODS Nine intact freshly extracted teeth with closed apexes w...
متن کاملComparison of transportation and centering ability using RECIPROC and iRace: A cone-beam computed tomography study
BACKGROUND AND AIM: Root canal treatment, especially in curved and constricted root canals, can be very difficult and time consuming. Several investigations have compared the reciprocating and full sequence motions in terms of shaping ability. The purpose of the present study was to compare the root canal transportation and centering ability of RECIPROC and iRace using cone-beam computed tomogr...
